Bio
Gavi Grodsky is a musician (guitarist/composer/producer) of notable versatility. He was born in Israel and grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut and South Florida where he was exposed to many different forms of music. As a child, he was inspired by his mother's guitar playing and came to have an ear and appreciation for harmonies and unique rhythm structures. This only served to deepen his search for "the sound"; a quest for some musicians which is sometimes difficult to explain. Gavi picked up the guitar in his teens and has been playing ever since. He took the guitar to college, and graduated (Magna Cum Laude) with a degree in jazz performance from Florida International University.
You could say Gavi is a very down to earth and relaxed guy who likes to find humor in the most serious of situations...unless he steps on a dog by accident...that's just not funny. Throughout his career, he has had the honor to open up for and share the stage with musicians such as Lenny Kravitz, Bryan Adams, Arturo Sandoval, Ed Calle, Robert Randolph, Chick Corea, Bone Thugs N' Harmony, Billy Cobham, David Sanborn, and many others. Gavi now resides in New York City where he performs regularly and teaches.
